There seem to be a lot of cases in the news recently of TSA officers getting arrested for felonies such as firing a gun in a hotel while under the influence of narcotics, possession of kiddie porn, stealing iPads out of bags.
So given that there are ~40,000 TSA agents, is their rate of arrest for felonies higher than the general population?
I’d like to begin to explore whether criminals are somehow attracted to becoming TSA agents, and the screening process for agents is somehow failing.
Thanks
