TubaDiva--are you blocking my e-mails?

i tried to send you a Weird Earl’s nominee, but my e-mail came back, stating that your account wouldn’t accept it.

You mad at me or sumptin?

What? Can’t you take a hint?

The girl doesn’t want to talk to you!

Naah. I’m not blocking you. I don’t understand that at all.

Please try again. If you get the same message, please copy it into a post here and I’ll investigate. I almost said, “send it to me,” amazing how the mind works, isn’t it?

New e-mail on the way.

Aaaannnndd…I just got blocked again.

Is your account full?

Have you changed your e-mail addy recently?

Bosda, the problem is not because Tuba is blocking you, but because AOL is blocking mails sent from IP addresses that have no Reverse DNS assigned.

Your IP address, as offered by your ISP, has no Reverse DNS assigned and so AOL is blocking any mail you send to any AOL account.

It’s a result of AOL’s aggressive anti-spam policies:

To check whether your IP address has a reverse DNS assigned:

http://remote.12dt.com/rns/

See? Wasn’t me.

Thanks, xash.

Live and learn. I thought that AOL for me was blocking all emails that didn’t advertise penile enhancement or a wonderful business opportunity from a Nigerian bank.

What? Nigerian Banks are offering deals on penis enhancement now? Hmmm…why doesn’t this surprise me.

Daniel…Daniel P. Bostaph what are you up to now young man?

Thanks xash I’ve been getting the same thing with one of my accounts. I tried mailing something here earlier but it wouldn’t. So, I went to a different account and no problem.

OK, what’s an IP address, & how do I find out what mine is?

And, what do I do to contact TubaDiva? She’s a mod, & I just might need to talk to her.

Could that be the reason? If so, the only solution may be to use a different e-mail account.

I just turned off all my filters, parental controls, etc. & it started working.

YMMV

Hopefully she’ll yea or nay this, but since she’s the only mod in this forums, perhaps you could use the “Report this Post to a Moderator” function, although that would lead to confusion when she gets an email referring to a sig test post and you’re talking about chocolate and calculators, or whatever the hell you wanted to email her about.
