I was the one who suggested locking it. We close threads in which heated debates are going on when someone who has been banned or suspended is taking one side of the debate, and most or all of the other participants are on the other side of the debate. Since the suspended or banned poster is not in a position to continue to represent that side of the discussion, it is unfair to allow the discussion to continue. That, in general, is why the threads that were locked were locked – in each of them, StS was either the only or the primary person on one side of a heated argument. If the discussion was more general, a thread he had started or was participating in could be left open.
And where the hell is Tuba? Why is she not basking in her accolades?
I was actually worried that she might have found this thread condescending.
Not so, thankfully. She private messaged me, and I believe I can state, without violating her confidence, that her modesty precludes her participation. Simple as that.
