Our large Army installation in SE Oklahoma (45,000 acres) has a large population of turkey (deer, coyotes, hawks, etc…). They are accustomed to the traffic and humans. The entry road has large open swaths on either side suitable for whatever the turkeys are grazing for. You pass large flocks/herds/gaggles of them on the way in and out.
Last week, the annual turkey hunt was announced over the internal email for this weekend. Hunters would have passes, vehicles parked along roads would have signs, don’t go wandering about in hunt areas or you might get Cheneyed (new verb:p), etc…
Well, no Turkeys this past week. From 50 to 75 down to nothing. Only one possibility -
TURKEYS GOT INTERNET:eek:
Actually, someone saw one this morning; dial-up?
