I could understand the “turnabout is fair play” idea if the woman was alleging that she took her action after a TSA agent in question had done something to her that could possibly be considered as intrusive, but according to the article:
Nothing to indicate that anyone from TSA had even touched her, yet everyone is acting as if she had been thrown to the ground and strip-searched in public. I’ve been through security a number of times and I’ve never had a TSA agent touch me in any way that I would remotely consider “inappropriate”. If for any reason they felt the need to pat me down they were polite, almost deferential, and explained exactly what they were going to do before starting.
I guess all those mad gropers must work at other airports.
Agreed. If you don’t like the security procedures which some bad people’s actions have forced us to endure, then don’t fly. No one is forcing you. And it’s certainly not the TSA agent’s fault that we all have to go through screenings. (And if the agent really did do something inappropriate, there are clear procedures by which one can calmly file an official complaint.)
(Granted, no system is perfect, and there is some amount of “theater” to the whole business…but come on, people, get a grip.)
