I was behind a car waiting in a left turn lane a couple weeks ago, and our blinkers were in sync the whole time. It was probably over a minute, with no noticeable changing of the relative phase of blinkers, until we made our turns and the blinkers went off. It was amazing. I’ve never had that happen before.

I seek this Zen event to happen. My life will not be complete until this is accomplished.

Edit: the electronic “shutter” noise on camera phones, though, I would gladly kill. Why does it have to be so LOUD?

Many phones allow you to change or disable that fake shutter sound. Mine is set to silent all the time.

A while back, I think there was some concern over cameraphone voyeurism that caused some manufacturers to force a shutter sound, but I guess they decided it wasn’t a big deal after all because the option is back in the newer phones I’ve tried…

I remember when camera phones first started to get popular, there was a big deal raised about potential privacy invasions… Supposedly the ridiculously loud shutter noise could, in theory I suppose, prevent people from unknowingly taking shots of other people in places like locker rooms and the such… Not sure what happened to it, but I’ve noticed that a lot of cameras seem to have forgotten about that “feature.”

Yeah. This is the only redeeming feature of my MIL’s minivan. The blinkers are silent and after a while left on, they start with a loud chime. Love it.
