How do they charge when events like this happen?
Obviously the networks can’t charge when the ads don’t run. Do they refund $$$ or just agree to run the ad in a comparabl time slot in another day.
What about programs like the Emmys that were cancelled? Let’s say I bought an ad for 100,000 and it was cancelled. Now the climate in the USA says FEWER people will watch the Emmys when it is rescheduled. Or in this case re-re-scheduled up agaisnt the World Series so FEWER people still will watch.
Also how do they price ads when they don’t know how long it will be. Like the World Series running into overtime?
