Bought the wineguard fl 5000 antenna.
I know you suppose to look for the best spot to put the antenna… but am i suppose to use tape on it in order to stick it on the wall or window? The thing is i saw 1-2 videos with ppl demonstrating them putting it on wall or window but its like an informecial and all i see is them basically sticking it at the wall/window with no tape.
This antenna but looks more like a mousepad doesn’t even stick to anything so im just bit confused.
The description says it comes with two Velcro patches so you would use the Velcro to stick it to the wall. If it didn’t come with the Velcro you could just run to the store and buy some.
3M has a product Command Hanging Strips, comes in different sizes. you can use to hang pictures and such to walls or windows without damage. you can find at hardware or home improvement stores.
In my case (with a somewhat larger antenna) I found that the best position was at a 45 degree angle from the wall, and also that I had to redirect it sometimes to pick up stations in other directions. Because of this I just placed it on top of a dresser – not sure if your antenna is rigid enough to do this or if it would flop over.
