1950s copy drama starring Beverly Garland. Exteriors were shot on location in New York, almost unheard of at the time, and the show tackled thorny issues and took them seriously. Easily a decade ahead of its time and still worth watching today.
Plus, it was fun, and the 80s had been ridiculously didactic, with “very special episodes” coming in rapid succession. When Xena came along, we were starved for fun.
