TV or movie characters not known by their character names.

Slip Mahoney (Leo Gorcey) and Sach (Huntz Hall) from The Bowery Boys movies. Finally! Staying home all those Sunday mornings finally pays off!

Otter and D-Day from Animal House.

Nope, this was a bit part in quite a few eps of a 1980s series. However, it was usually just one scene, with no connection to the rest of the story. As a result, these scenes are expendable, and are frequently the target of the syndication cut scissors.

I don’t think it’s been finally settled what Wolverine’s real name is. He’s gone by the single name “Logan” and by the name “James Hackett.” I don’t remember “James Logan.”

Duncan, Garrett, Munroe, Rogers, and Welles

Charlie’s Angels

All of Charlies Angels.

Isn’t his full name Daniel Simpson Day?

No one has answered my last one, but I thought of another one that surely some of y’all know, so here are my two offerings:

Richard Stabone

Clarence Rutherford

Richard Stabone is “Boner” from Growing Pains. And his middle name is Milhous.

And Clarence Rutherford is, of course, Lumpy from Leave It to Beaver.

Well, forst of all, I had the actor’s last name incorrect. It was Ryan Reynolds.

But, according to wikipedia’s entry on Reynolds, the character name WAS Michael Bergen, and he was called “Berg” most of the time.

Jughead’s full name is Forsythe Percival Jones.

Hunter Hearst Helmsley = ??

Eric Lehnsherr = ??

Vic Sage = The Question

Shayera Thal = Hawkgirl

Greg Saunders = Sandy

Mari McCabe = Vixen

Hunter Hearst Helmsley = ??

Triple H.

According to Origin, his original name was James Howlett.

Eric Lensherr is Magneto.

Eric Lensherr is Magneto.

OK, since I believe this has died:

Ramona Smith was “Mama,” Kingfish’s MIL on “Amos ‘n’ Andy”

Elister was the real name of Smokey the crackhead on Eddie Murphy’s animated series “The PJs”

James Logan was the real name of the “pickpocket” on “Hill Street Blues.” He typically would be in only one scene, with a booking officer who would ask his name. He would usually give a bogus name, like “Eurypides Pantz” or “Curtis Interruptus.” Most of the time he (Nick Savage) was credited simply as “pickpocket.”

Right idea, wrong Golden Age superhero. Sandy is Sanderson Hawkins, but Greg Saunders was the masked troubadour of the prairies, the Vigilante.

Dr. George Alonzo “Gonzo” Gates from Trapper John, M.D..

How about Reinhold Elmore?
Or Patricia Reichardt? (Not originally from TV but the character has appeared on it.)

Okay, this very famous personage was known by two nicknames. When a certain character asked his name, he answered noonmai.

And also, who were…

  • “Courteous Cliff”?

  • “the Dancing Doctor”?

  • “Jackanapes”?

  • “Read”? (as in “read a book” - hint: he’s already been mentioned in this thread.)

  • “Bobby Boogie”? (also already mentioned in this thread)
