John Sessions died?

Indeed, sorry. Sean Lock as well. Sessions died in 2020, Sean Lock died in 2021.
Yeah, I heard about Lock when it happened. Damn shame.
Yes, Sessions always had to show off. I remember watching the last episode of QI he appeared on; he rang in on every single topic; he then proceeded to ramble on and on, thoroughly dominating the banter, usually talking about something that was only tangentially related to what Stephen had asked about. By the end of the episode, Fry looked like he was about ready to slug Sessions in the face to get him to shut the hell up. After that, I can totally understand why they never had him back.
Sessions also used to come to Whose Line Is It Anyway with prepared material, which is the opposite of what the show was about. He was an excellent character actor, but he seemed to be a bit of a nob otherwise.
Here is Dara talking clearly about John Sessions. He says someone is dead and it isn’t “Sean Lock” so it is very easy to put it together. They couldn’t stand his performance so much, they turned off his buzzer. Hilarious.
Apparently, he was a UKIP supporter. Ugh.
I hadn’t heard all this … but i’ve always thought he was a bit of a nob !

there is no place for satire anymore.
Mock the Week came back yesterday for the last time. I will admit, I am part of the decline. I haven’t been actively watching Mock the Week for a long time, but only caught clips here and there. I decided to try to watch the final episodes, though. I love self-deprecating humor and I think Dara and Hugh are ready to give us this as they wind their show down.
They did joke about the end of the show, but not as much as I hoped. I expect this to increase over the next few weeks. It’s on Youtube if you want to see it, but I am not sure if it is entirely legal since it isn’t the official MTW channel.
Run, relatively recent, clip of the show having fun making fun of Hugh Dennis…for being in the latest Daniel Craig James Bond movie. Yes, Hugh was indeed in it. For like 3 minutes.
Frankie Boyle just commented on twitter about Mock the Week and you know what, he might be right? Mock The Week’s final new episode is Friday.
