Serling bought the rights to air this short French film as a way to save money during the the final season (the show was over budget). He only bought the rights for two network airings - the original broadcast and one summer rerun. So no conspiracy here, only economics.
I’ve seen it by the way - high school english class in the (mumbledy, mumbledy) early eighties. It’s probably available through a library or from a speciality video rental house.
