I just saw this tv show called Scorpion (“/scorpion”) and I just had to say one thing about it. The show’s logo is wrong. It shows a scorpion drawn in the style of a blueprint with 6 legs and 2 pincers. Scorpions are arachnids and, like spiders, they have 8 legs (plus 2 pincers), not 6.

I was embarrassingly old when I learned that the pinchers are pedipalps, not modified legs.
I have just learned that the pinchers are pedipalps and not modified legs. Can’t say I’m too embarrassed by it though – scorpions aren’t much of a thing here in northern Illinois. I’ll settle for saying “That’s kinda neat”.

Or is it just OPs who cannot count? As newme notes, the images of the logo found via google show eight legs and two pincers.

To be fair to the OP, there was an earlier logo than the one newme linked that was more blueprint/tech diagram style that seems to have an ambiguous number of legs, since the only images I can Google-Image for it have the title overlaid.
That’s the one I saw on the Wikipedia article (which is usually up to date since the fans make the articles), and the full 1080p version still looks like it only has 6 legs to me.
If it’s really an “old” logo already, I’d guess they were trying to cover up for having made that mistake.
