In the authorized Star Trek novel,YESTERDAY’S SON, it is revealed that Spock’s mother is a direct descendant of Amanda"Biddy" and Aaron Stemple, the man who owned the mill in the series. Both Aaron Stemple and Sarek were played by the same person, BTW.
