Speaking of hairstyles -Charles Ingalls’ (Michael Landon’s) curly locks and other men’s longish feathered hair on the show Little House on The Prairie is out of place for the time period it was set.
Also the show depicts people using both telephones and phonographs. Granted both were invented BEFORE the show was set but it is unlikely that a town in rural Minnesota would access to either.

I once saw a Western of some kind of TV where one of the main female characters wore large hoop earrings.
