Leonard Nemoy once theorized that Spock’s first name was actually Harold (as given to him by his mother, honoring his human half) and that Spock only told people it was too hard to pronounce because he was embarrassed. I happen to love this idea.

Similarly, on Chuck, Chuck supposedly learns Sarah’s real name, but later it’s revealed (to the audience anyway) that this also was an alias.
