TV shows that didn't/don't have a theme song

Thought of this while watching 60 Minutes. While music has certainly been a part of the show via interviews and pieces about various musicians, as far as I know there has never been ANY theme music or a them song for the show, just the ticking of the stopwatch. Which if one wants to be a nitpicking dickbag about it, does constitute music, but for the purposes of this thread it doesn’t.

Any other tv shows that don’t have any theme music?

If I remember right, LOST just had a single “THUMM” sound over the title card.

Medical Center, which debuted on CBS in 1969, did not have an opening theme, at least in its first year. Each episode opened with a montage of surgeons performing an operation, accompanied by the beating of a human heart. Over this was dubbed a woman paging on a hospital PA system: “Medical Center … Medical Center … Paging Dr Gannon … Paging Dr Lochner … Medical Center …”

I believe the show did have a closing theme, a very stirring but understated tune in march time, sort of like a subdued version of the old Highway Patrol theme.

Black Mirror and The Handmaid’s Tale don’t have theme songs.

I don’t think The Closer had one.

I wouldn’t call it a THUMM, but here it is. No theme song.

Murphy Brown didn’t have a theme song. Each episode would open with a different Motown song.

TV Tropes has a page called No Theme Tune.

Similarly with, “Emergency!” (At least, Season 1?)

Neither did spin-off Major Crimes.

Not originally, but it got onepretty quickly.

True only for opening credits. There was a closing credits theme. FWIW.

Yes, it got revamped in the second season to make it more “hip.” IIRC, the opening and closing themes were now identical.
