I have relatives who live on a farm about a half hour from Dr. Pol. He was their vet before he became well known, and they have only good things to say about him.
They no longer have farm animals so they no longer need his services.

Though they’re not always bright. Remember my long-time farrier (who taught me how to do it - wouldn’t do it anymore) taking a shoe from the forge with tongs, setting it on the anvil, putting the next shoe in the forge, then turning around and picking up the hot shoe on the anvil with his bare hand, took him 3 steps to figure out it was hot! I follow several cat rescue livecams, and they trap feral pregnant cats and have them deliver and raise their kittens on camera. It’s not always, or even usually, a pleasant process either.
