A friend once asked me this question pertaining to the sex of Tweety Bird. Many of the people I’ve asked have claimed to have seen a female love interests for Tweety but I’m still not fully convinced either way. Can anyone please tell me the Official word from Warner Brothers?
Tweety’s a boy. Although I don’t remember why I’m so sure. I think it has something to do with his wearing a sailor hat and having such a wonderful friendship with Sylvester. Who is a boy. And everybody knows that a guy and a girl can’t be just friends.
Tweety has beautiful eyelashes, too… and guys always get the best eyelashes.
Sure, Tweety was a boy. He went gaga over a girl bird at least once. In a boy kind of way. Not to say he couldn’t have been a lesbian girl bird.

Evidence: Sylvester once tempts Tweety by painting a finger on his paw to look like a female bird, complete with bonnet. Sylvester sticks finger in nest; illusion complete. Of course the plan fails, as usual, but you already knew that, right?
Tweety would be a male based on his bright coloration. However, I have myself seen Tweety, Sylvester, and Yosemete Sam out on the town with Tinky-Winky Teletubbie.
Don’t know about Tweety, but the Roadrunner was a guy. Wile E. Coyote built a female roadrunner decoy in order to target the (I forget) Acme Brand Cannon/Slingshot/Catapult/Rocket Bomb/Electromagnet on the hopefully distracted Roadrunner.
Yes, I used to wish that just once, Sylvester would catch Tweety, that Wile E. Coyote would catch the Road Runner, and that Tom would catch Jerry. Is that wrong?
Jeannie, if I’m correct (and I’m sure that if I’m not the resident cartoon mavens will correct me), Wile E. did once catch the Road Runner, who pulled (out of nowhere, as always) a sign that said, effectively, “Now that you’ve caught me, now what?” I don’t recall the next few events (I suspect mercifully) but at the end of the cartoon they were back to chasing/being chased again.
