Twitter is surprisingly good for finding interesting videos

This is something I discovered just a few days back. For example I enjoy following trends in technology and if I search in Twitter for terms like “robotics”, “drones” or just “tech videos” I invariably find something interesting I haven’t seen before; for example a video about robots building a chair, vertical gardens in Mexico and drones in an ice cave.

Because it’s Twitter the videos are short, around a minute or two, and recent. If I have 15 minutes to kill, it may be the best way of quickly finding neat stuff.

I agree with you to an extent, but the Twitter posts are often just a reference to YouTube anyway. But anything we can do to keep YouTube from being dominant is good since they seem to be losing their mind a bit.

Youtube is great too but typically the videos are longer and less recent. It’s good if you have some time and want a bit more depth. But for cool 1-2 minute videos from the last few days Twitter works better.
