Two days away. That's all I need. Ideas?

Two days with no kids, no husband, no dogs and cats, no appointments. A nice, quiet motel, spa, cabin, whatever, somewhere–I don’t care where it is, as long as it’s quiet–a couple of books, a decent restaurant or grocery store nearby, cable tv. I don’t even care about cable, actually.

That’s ALL I need. But I need it soon. I’m shooting for sometime this winter or spring.

Like I said, peace, quiet, book. And sleep. Lots and LOTS of sleep.

With the added caveat, of course, that it must be CHEAP. As in, pretty DARN cheap.

Any Brilliant Ideas? Anyone got a nice lil B&B with low off-season prices, maybe a discount for Harried Moms?

I’d even go on a retreat of some kind, as long as I don’t have to hang out with people all the time. I’m all peopled out for now.

That sounds absolutely wonderful! I’d ask you to take me with you, but I guess that would defeat the purpose

Anyway, I’ve always had great success with off season B&Bs–Newport, RI in the winter is beautiful, tourist-free (relatively), and surprisingly cheap.

If this one doesn’t fit the bill, Nashville, IN is full of quaint shops and b&bs. At least it used to be.

if you find such a place please PLEASE please pass along the info!

why don’t you go camping? It’s usually under $10 for a week at a national park… and it’d be nice and relaxing.
