Two Endings to Job?

Not uncommon for me to try to find an analogy from a half-remembered memory quirk, and wind up putting my proverbial foot in my proverbial mouth.

I did know that the story of the horse was in the Odyssey, not in the Iliad, but I misremembered the opening.

In any case, my point is still valid, even if my analogy is not. Ancient drama did not require the circularity, the echoing, the resolution, the je ne sais quoi that modern drama does.
