I guess I put this in the right place.
Tomorrow night, on PBS (check your local listings) there will air a documentary called Two Towns Of Jasper which delves into racism and how it relates to all our lives.
This began after the death of James Byrd who was dragged behind the pickup truck of three white men in Jasper, Texas in 1998.
There were two film makers, one black, one white who filmed this in the view of the respective the race they “represent” to get understanding of how people perceive this horrible crime and how that relates to the nation or the world as a whole when it comes to racial tensions and divisions. They were in Jasper for a year filming this. They even found that their friendship had restraints, not so much because of the skin color but because they do have different perspectives because of their skin color, if that makes any sense.

I have been watching the film makers, parts of the film and other input on this whole thing on Oprah.
Anyhow, you can catch more discussion on this on Nightline tonight as well to see if it’s something you might be interested in seeing on PBS.
