I’d like to point out that the media bias has actually been painting Israel very badly and been very pro-Palestine. Look at the fact that they keep saying that Ariel Sharon going to a contested site was enough of a reason to start all the violence.
Then check out how the Palestinians send children to throw rocks at armed soldiers with armed Hamas in the middle of the crowd also shooting at Israeli soldiers so that CNN cameras will pick it up and we can watch the slaughter of “innocents” at the hands of the bloodthirsty Israelis all day on the all pornography all day news channel. Also while you are looking into this, read the articles where they neglect to point out that whenever Israel launches a missile attack that they warn the Palestinians 3-4 hours in advance telling them which targets they are going to hit. Also look for the NY Times where it shows an Israeli soldier standing over a bloody man with his rifle on the front page. After you do that, please look for the Times where they post a retraction for that picture NOT ON THE FRONT page about how that soldier had actually pulled that bloody man, also and Israeli soldier from a crowd of rioters.
The United States gets as much from being allies with the Israelis as they do from us but that’s been addressed in this thread sufficiently.

I think you folks are making a mistake by dismissing anyone who does not like Jews as a member of the Aryan Nation or other skinhead-like organization. Also, if I might mix a religous metaphor, you seem to be preaching to your choir in your denunciations of any perceived anti-Jewish comment.
If I could butt into a thread I haven’t posted in yet, upon reading this, I don’t see anyone saying “Anyone who doesn’t like Jews is a skinhead” There are Jews I don’t like (certain members of my family come to mind.) I do, think, though, that most posters here would agree that people who don’t like Jews because they’re Jews haven’t neccesarily thought their thinking out completely (That sentence started out making sense…). Since the goal of the Straight Dope is to fight ignorance, do you have any suggestions of where I could go to argue against anti-Jewish comments where I wouldn’t be “preaching to the choir”?
Mipsman, I know where you’re going. You’re going to say that Jews are a religion, and here at the SMDB we make a habit of attacking religions and religious people. Well, for some that may be true. But for others, Jews are not only a religion, but also a race. Attacks upon members of a race in general, or on a percieved nature of a race, or on generalized actions of a race, is racism. And racism - unless I am very much mistaken - is not accepted in the SMDB.
