My family is traveling to the U.S.A. tomorrow, arriving via LAX, departing from YVR. My wife has just discovered that her passport (Canadian) expired several months ago :mad: . Would it be more prudent to hit customs with an expired passport, or with alternate I.D.? Any useful help would be immensely appreciated.

You should be fine with an expired passport. All Canucks need to enter the U.S. is a birth certificate (or Cdn citizenship card) and photo ID.
