A quiet, non-violent car jacking is still a car jacking.
If I was the driver, I would have gotten out of my car, taken the keys, and then requested an Uber to take me somewhere else.
Ideally, I would also have a reverse dash cam to record her reaction to sitting in the back of a car that no longer has a driver.

“Now you can’t leave.”
You would leave your car behind with some stranger sitting it and then spend money to get an Uber to take you somewhere else and you’re probably in a no parking zone so your car gets told?
That’ll show her.
What are they going to tell the car?
If you can be “baited” into getting that angry, then you are not all that rational to begin with. Yes, she was probably rude to him, but what sane adult, knowing he is almost certainly going to lose his job as a result, gets THAT worked up over a customer? Especially when the quickest and most efficient way to rid himself of this women is to take her where she wants to go.
The guy is in customer service, and part of that is dealing with people acting entitled, rude, and awful on a regular basis. If you are a level headed person, you don’t take the bait. It’s seriously like the first rule of customer service. So while I am sure the passenger is not gonna win any humanitarian awards, he is clearly 100% wrong here. That’s not even dealing with the fact that some big guy yelling at a woman is almost always a bad look.
But we only have half the (edited) story. Nearly everyone can be baited, it just didn’t take her long to find his buttons and start pushing them. I do a fair amount of customer service, I’m usually pretty level headed, but every once in a while someone seriously grinds my gears and in a small handful of those cases I’ve, regretfully, unloaded on them. For example today some called and asked for a price on something, I quoted her $45, she asked me to sell it to her for $40. I told her that’s the going price, can’t change it, it’s in very high demand, if she doesn’t want it, NBD, someone will buy it 10 minutes later. She asked me again, told me to ask my boss, I told her that’s who I got the price from in the first place, but she told me to ask him again. I put her on hold, picked the phone back up a few seconds later and told her the price is the price, take it or leave it. An hour later she shows up for it and an tells me she wants it for $40. Again I tell her if she doesn’t want to pay $45, that’s fine, she doesn’t have to take it, I’ll sell it within an hour, it’s fine, she’s not hurting my feelings. She begged me to change the price, I finally explained to her that this is the third time she’s asked me, sorry, I can’t change the price, if she wants she can call the owner tomorrow, but I can’t promise that we’ll have the product in stock or that the price will be $45. She took it, paid for it and stomped off. I kept cool.
OTOH, a few years ago, I had a customer start yelling and swearing at me for ‘staring’ at her (I just happened to have my head turned in her general direction). I could not convince her that I wasn’t staring at her. She’s been a problem customer in the past so when she snuck up behind one of my employees that was cleaning a deli slicer, yelled and said “I hope you cut your fucking finger” (she thought it was me), I lost it. Long story, but I ended up yelling at her and tossing her out. A better person may have kept their cool, but she, purposely endangered the safety of one of my employees (then told me I didn’t have the right to ask her to leave because I’ve never been to Germany…yeah, she’s got some issues, I’m not sure how she made that leap).
Either way, most of us have buttons, most of us will snap if pushed. She pushed his, he got annoyed, she kept digging at it. I’d be willing to bet if she didn’t have a phone with her and/or couldn’t record it, the situation wouldn’t have gone down like that.
I believe the police were called. The video is heavily edited, but he does appear to call 911 and I think you can hear someone at the passenger door asking her to get out.
Also, in fairness to her, there’s reasons to go to the Emergency Room other than having an Emergency. For example, meeting someone there. Having said that (and repeating what I said above), he was right to call the police and he probably could have been justified in calling for medical help when she kept saying ‘where am I, I don’t know where I am’. I’m sorry, if you want to go to the back entrance of the building and the driver takes you to the front and you’re that confused, maybe you do need medical assistance, emergency medical assistance if you’re as young as she sounded and/or have no underlying medical problems.
But, as we can all tell, the situation just escalated for unknown reasons. I’m guessing Uber will forgive the driver if it’s his first infraction.
Probably not the right job for him.
She is clearly wrong. He took her to the destination she provided and asked he to get out. She had no right to remain in his car. This incident took place in CA, a two party consent state, I really doubt he consented to be recorded, so she had no right to record him.
No need to yell about anything, call 911 tell them you are at a hospital and there is a crazy person in your car refusing to leave. Hospitals are pretty good at handling crazy people, I doubt he would have had to wait long.
The guy is an idiot for getting so out of control, and the woman is an idiot for creating the situation.
She was at the main entrance and at the address she gave him. Get out and walk through the hospital to the area you need to go to (they have pretty colors you can follow). People do that all the time, not difficult.
Oh, she had been pushing his buttons either long or hard or both way before that video started.
Probably some cunt looking to pull some sort of BS lawsuit and get “rich”.

He sounds like an angry Seth Rogen and she sounds like a retarded Ms Swan.
Child locks in the rear, a flammable substance, and a source of ignition would have been handy…
Lady, for the LAST time get out of my car.
No!
Ride is over. Time to release my pet snakes
