Ugliest Pop Music Marriage Battles

Didn’t Phil Collins divorce his wife via fax?

Rita Coolidge had already had to deal with a jealous boyfriend when she was on the Mad Dogs and Englishmen tour with Joe Cocker, Leon Russell and the rest. When she came back to the U.S., she met Stephen Stills, who introduced her to Graham Nash, who she began dating. Stills became extremely jealous, and the rift between him and Nash was at least partly the reason for the 1970 breakup of Crosby, Stills and Nash.

Both were heroin addicts and probably wouldn’t have lived much longer anyway; Nancy had serious mental health issues from birth and Sid grew up in a train wreck of a “family.”

Yes, you’re right, I whiffed on that. :smack:

The Rolling Stone article I lined to earlier notes that Ann had gone on a date with her now-husband, Dean Wetter, in the 1980s (apparently, Nancy set them up on a blind date). As Ann tells it, at the end of the date, she “really put the make on him,” he rebuffed her, and that was the end of the relationship, until they met again, 30 years later.

I don’t know if she was in any significant relationships (with men or women) in between dating Michael Fisher (then Heart’s manager) in the 1970s, and marrying Wetter.

According to wiki, apparently she did.

Ross Childress, original lead guitarist for Collective Soul allegedly slept with lead singer/songwriter Ed Roland’s wife and mother of his son which led to a divorce and Ross being kicked out of the band.

Ed is very,VERY sensitive about the issue, especially when asked about Ross, blaming him for destroying his family.

Idiot Wind/Diamonds and Rust

I didn’t read the story. I also remember their “Behind The Music” episode saying that Ann had not had a LTR since breaking up with Fisher. She adopted two children, who were quite young when the episode aired.
