UK Dopers, listen to Radio 1 tonight (please)...

Tonight, on the new music show (one music) with Huw Edwards, my brother’s first single is being played. My brother is Robert Jesse and the single is him and Simon Lord called 'Rainy Day.

Havnen’t actually heard the single myself, yet, but what I have heard of their duo stuff is really good. Similar to Nick Drake and other brilliant folk artists. But maybe I’m a l’il biased!

If anyone happens to catch this tonight (or tomorrow on http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/onemusic/), it’d be great to hear your feedback!

Night, all!

Harry

I think this is the link: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/listen/

And it’s already midnight there, no??

Yeah, it’s 0013 at the mo, but it’s not been on yet. Wonder if he was telling the truth…!

Here’s a link to some of their other news http://www.smallfish.co.uk/html/homepage.asp the second paragraph down.

Just heard it, was an instrumental - very very good. Proud of him. Maybe he’ll be good to borrow money off one day yet…

That was it, right?

Well I have crappy speakers & dial-up, but it didn’t cut out.

it’ ok. I’m not big on songs without lyrics. I don’t think I could take a whole album of stuff like that, but it’s a good interlude. It sounded good.

Oh, and someone else must have heard that on that too…or at least pretend you did and make me feel like i’m related to the minorest of famousish people…

He was the guitarist for a band [url=]boedekka that had a few hits in spain and germany, and a song sampled on an advert in the UK for threepay. Maybe someone’s heard of them?

He was the guitarist for a band boedekka (since disbanded, they all cared about their solo projects more) that had a few hits in spain and germany, and a song sampled on an advert in the UK for threepay. Maybe someone’s heard of them?

And for my third post…(preview is my friend, previ…)

Yeah, that was it. Wasn’t the catchiest song I’ve heard from them, definately! More show-offey on the guitar folk end of things kinda Burt Jansch-ey style (apparently, haven’t heard much of him).

But thank you for listening!

Don’t know Jansch.
Small world, heh? (I hate that phrase, by the way)

I was in Glasgow in June. Nice cathedral. Nice pedestrian-touristy shopping area.

ciao!

Ah…buchanan street. I live in the West-End, the bit full of other students!

Dont manage to make it in to the centre that often, keep going in and wasting my student loan and overdraft (if you class a luxury dartboard, cult DVDs & the like wasting…)

But if you’re ever back, drop me an e-mail. I should know my way around well enough to take anyone to the best places by then!
