UK Dopers, question....

I’m looking to purchase tickets to a sporting event and the seller is recommending we use a service called TNT. The website doesn’t have nearly enough information for me feel confident in it. Do any UK dopers have first hand experience with it?

Thanks in advance.

TNT is certainly a reputable delivery firm, yes, so you have nothing to worry about. I was a bit puzzled about that web link you gave, though. TNT’s UK site is at TNT is becoming FedEx | TNT US | TNT United States

The site you gave was http://express-manchester-tpg.com/overseas.transactions/details.html which seemed a bit suspicious, but going back to the root domain of http://express-manchester-tpg.com redirected to http://www.tntlogistics.com/en/ which is indeed the main TNT company site.

So book away!

Hey, thanks. Yes that website looks a hell of a lot more reliable. Looking at the correct website it appears that there’s not a third party delivery service offered by TNT. Looks like the site I was sent to is a spoof/phishing site. I know your domain investigations look right but this whole thing looks bogus.

Damn internet scumbags.

The payment options offered look distinctly phishy.

Looks like they lifted the code from here: TNT is becoming FedEx | TNT US | TNT United States

Yes, on second thoughts I do call phish. I didn’t look at the Payments page, and of course, it’s easy to set up the domain to redirect to the actual TNT site :smack:

By the way, and I’m not sure if this was your question, but TNT is a huge UPS/Fedex/DHL competitor. So this website may be dodgy, but the real TNT certainly isn’t.
