Seeing the thread on Canadian honours, I thought anyone interested might like to see something of this year’s gongs and awards in the UK. There are a thousand or so in total, mostly of people not well-known outside their own circle, and another round of awards in the summer, at the sovereign’s official birthday. No doubt this year’s will include lots of people working on the Coronation (there are also special lists of recommendations allowed to a Prime Minister on resignation, but both Johnson’s and Truss’s are currently in some sort of limbo).
