Last December I was driving to my Nan’s. the road was a 70mph limit. However there were some road works, so the limit had been pushed down to 40. I slowed to 40 at the sign but foolishly, having seen that nobody was working on the road, there were no other cars, and I still had a full-size lane to drive I crept back up to 70 :smack:.
I got caught by a speed camera. When I sent my details back, they said that it would have to be done through the courts system, and to wait for a summons, which came today.
I’m not going to defend myself, I was an idiot and I’m going to plead Guilty but the pack gives me the option of either attending the (August) court date or not. If I go, I’ll certainly act as compliently as possible.
I don’t know which option leaves the best impression, (and especially which one is likely to give me the lowest fine, if either.)
So, those of you that know how the courts work, should I attend?
