UK version of the Onion?

I’ve searched around a little and I’m pretty sure this site hasn’t been mentioned before. It’s called the Rockall Times and is satirical in the same vein as the Onion, whilst not causing problems for people like me who think the words ‘color’ and ‘favorite’ look funny ;).

Articles of note: The product review of the House Sparrow™, Celebrity Coffin Match, and the continuing coverage of the war (Warning: there’s a definite anti-war bias, don’t read it if you’re inclined to get upset by that kind of thing).

There’s a new issue out today (Monday). And it has puffins on the front page!

So, “whilst” doesn’t look funny?

Not bad, but not as funny as the Onion.

The Onion, Norn Iron style.

There’s the Framley Examiner, which I love, but it’s only similarity to the Onion is in it’s small stories:

It is very close to a typical English local paper.

Cardinal: Well, I claim ‘whilst’ as a proper word because I use it, whilst (hah!) anything I don’t agree with is a crazy American spelling and so beneath my notice. Or something…

(Braces herself for grammar/spelling mistakes to be pointed out)

There used to be a UK site that labelled itself exactly as the OP did, called Laughsend - which closed early last year. Apparently it’s being re-built right now as TheSpoof, but I don’t know when that’s going to go ‘live’.

There is only One Portadown News, however.
