Here in Minnesota, where only 3.2 beer may be sold in grocery and convenience stores, urban legend has it that the makers of Pabst Blue Ribbon refuse to brew a 3.2. Instead, the label their strong(er) beer as such and elect to pay a yearly fine to the state(s) who catch them in violation. Although I remain skeptical, on those tragic occasions (after 10 pm or Sundays), when I’m forced to get my suds at 7-11, I always get PBR. So unlike spider-egqs-in-bubble-yum, this rumor is actually boosting sales, but is it true?
