I just saw Eco’s new book Baudolino (I think I’ve got the name right) at the bookstore yesterday. I loved The Name of the Rose and Foucault’s Pendulum, but after finding The Island of the Day Before to be fairly disappointing (I borrowed a copy from a friend and couldn’t be bothered to finish it), I’m hesitant about just grabbing a copy.
So, if any dopers out there’ve read it, I’d appreciate hearing your opinions of it.
