Are you trying to say that something I wrote was wrong? If you’re going to participate in this thread, it would be nice if you actually attempted to add some information to what’s here.
chula, if you meant to say “First World”, then that’s what you should have said. “First World” is clearly not synonymous with “developed”, the USSR being the blatant counterexample. For that matter, it could still be argued that Iraq as of the invasion of Kuwait was “First World”: It certainly wasn’t Second, as that term refers only to countries which are or were communist.
And if you restrict your categorization too much, then you’ll end up with the United States being the only “developed” country at all. If that’s the case, then it’s trivial to say that the US is the only “developed” country to ever do such-and-such.
