Might be me, if I remember to watch it when it restarts. I still think it’s hopelessly dumb and getting dumber, but part of me is intrigued to see just how dumb it can get before it crashes and burns.
Yeah, I marathon watched the first half of the season, and watched the rest weekly with you guys. The fact it was a mini-series helped. Next season will be harder. Barbie will of course not die, so that takes care of the first episode. After that, I’m not sure.

And then Julie protected the egg by… dropping it into the water? Seriously, WTF?

Oh, I know why! The Church of the Meteorite says as long as the Chelyabinsk meteorite stays at the bottom of the lake, it’s in “a positive environment” and can spread peace. If you mess with it, you get Syria. Or the apocalypse. I’m not kidding. The egg must be like that.
I liked the book a lot. I didn’t have a problem with the ending. Big Jim was a bit of a caricature (I’m pretty tired of the “bad guy is a Republican religious nut” meme that fits Big Jim), but the novel was enjoyable enough that I was able to overlook that, for the most part.
You amateur snarkers are fine and all, but here is what a professional who presumably gets paid to do this can produce:
That’s a mobile link, I dont know if just taking out the m/ would get you to the full site. If you hate this show you have to read this recap of the finale.
Apologies if this was posted already.
And you know, the only reason I started watching in the first place- when it was still apparently going to be a miniseries- was for the scene in the book when the fires basically turn the town into a lifeless inferno with an atmosphere described as being somewhat like Venus.
Well, that and I wanted to see if they could come up with a better ending than the book, 'cause that was pretty lame.
The four and half o’clock screenshot is priceless. Even that they screwed up.
it’s back. 6/30/14
Arrrrrgh:eek:can’t believe it…so bad …but I can’t look away:D
Looking forward to it. Although I SHOULD be boycotting this show after that bull shit cliff hanger they left us with. I’m still pissed off about that.
I can. Life’s too short.
13 episodes to make fun of.
I’m out. I liked the book until the ending, but the show has been bad from the start.
No!!!
I won’t watch this year. I hate-watched all of season 1, but can not put myself through it again.
Yeah, I’m out too. I thought the first season was pretty stupid, hated the cliffhanger, and don’t plan to give up anymore hours of my life to stare at this thing.
I liked the book, but the series got so far away from the book that it’s not even the same story anymore. I wonder if they’ll try to milk it out to a third season if this one does well.
Not a Stephen King fan, but … I like to watch Angie run through town … bouncing. And I want to see who else Big Jim will just shoot, like a real villain would. I wish he’d shoot Barbie. And I wonder who else has been hiding out in the small town for weeks, waiting to come out when they’ve killed off enough early regulars. A guest appearance from Fox Mulder would be nice, but I’m afraid Jim would shoot him. I’d rather see Dana Scully “under the dome” than in her boring new show “Crisis”. Maybe “Red” Reddington will come by and sort everything out, tying in what the heck happened on the island in “Lost” and why is has something to do with “Twin Peaks”. I think it’s aliens.
This is me, exactly. I am actually really pained to be reminded that it is coming back. So you’d think I could just stop watching; but somehow I can’t, and thus will be wasting my time and getting frustrated all over again this summer. Sigh.
Oh, you can take it to the bank that they will milk it out to a hundred seasons if it keeps making money. Here it is from the horse’s a–er, mouth:
just in case you forgot season 1 (tried but can’t, it’s like a car wreck scene that you can’t forget).
here is a recap, extras and season 2 preview.
Under the Dome: Inside Chester’s Mill
Mon 6/23, check local listings.
I can’t wait to find out what happens even though I totally forgot. That one guy was in Bates Motel for a few eps.
I’m watching with my nephew. He was outraged at the non-ending last season. It’s his first experience with being dicked around by a tv show.
best they learn young.
