Blades of Glory needs to win Best Costumes
Hot Fuzz needs to win for Editing and Sound Editing
What did I miss?
They’ll never actually give it to it (because of it’s less-than-austere origins), but Transformers has easily had the best VFX this year thus far.
I would give Grindhouse editing over HF (though the latter’s a better film).
And, alas, “Spider-Pig” isn’t eligible for Best Song.
I thought the Original Score for Stardust was really really good. I also liked the score for 3:10 to Yuma. If either one of those get nominated, I’ll be satisfied.
I also fully expect Ratatouille to get nominated and win the Animation Oscar.
