Gah. I was punching the keypad of a transit ticket machine, and I hit the 5, and OW! The “bump” that’s there for the blind was way too sharp! I didn’t have any visible blood, so I think that means no skin penetration, but still… Who the hell installed the thing anyway?
Any similar stories (or can explain having a “needle” in a keypad? :P)?
I walk on the track at the city rec center 3-4 days a week. Being that I am just a slow-assed walker, I’m on the inside lane.
Surrounding the track on the inside is a half wall made of cinder block, painted over with latex paint. I think the paint has little flecks of metal in it. The track itself is coated in rubber.
When I walk, if I brush up against the short wall, I get shocked by static electricity. All the time.
