Gah! So Galactus is immune to continuity errors? Unicron might actually have a serious fight on his hands.
I can see
This Big Tin Can Kicking Serious ass.
Or
This Big Tin Can…
I’m sorry but even on this score Galactus artwork is so much better than the crude 4th world animation of the underpaid, sweatshop workers forced to grind out Transformer’s [sub]tm[/sub]toons, and who are beaten with brooms when they protest about the working conditions, clunky plotlines and poor color transfers.
Behold GALACTUS!! (nice history and bio info too)
Unicron can use those stupid horns to throw galactus into a sun.
And then KICK ASS.
And to unicron, Galactus is a beaver.
And he will be very hard on him…
Only because some-one has to suggest Googlefights for every one of these “vs.” threads:
Galactus
I’ll raise you one Grudge match to that…
Granted, it doesn’t have that fight, but…
IT’S STILL BETTER!
Take that to the bank!
Unicron DOES use 1920’s style death rays… I draw your attention to the closing moments of Transformers: The Movie, where he shoots down the Junkion vessel with eye-lasers. When the Autobot ship enters his head through the other eye, no laser machinery is visible inside… clearly, his eye-laser is a 1920’s style death ray, which are tiny enough to be hidden in the back of a giant-world-eating-robot’s retina.
And keep in mind that Unicron got killed by the Autobot matrix of power, which is obviously just the Cybertronian equivalent of a NFL-regulation size light-up football. With handles. All Galuctus would have to do is visit Target before the fight…
Galactus can be destroyed by the Ultimate Nullifier. As far as we know, it is purely technological.
Unicron, on the other hand, can only be destroyed by the Autobot Matrix Of Leadership, a technological device that stores the spiritual propereties of its previous wearers, and has its own Prophecy:
Anything with a prophecy is a lot more than just technology. It falls into the realm of magic.
Therefore, Unicron might be able to emulate the function of the Nullifier, but Galactus could not emulate the Matrix.
If they’re fighting in the Marvel Universe, Unicron wins.
Why? Because there’s an unwritten rule in the Marvel Universe that, for cosmic-level entities, power level is directly proportional to the size and complexity of one’s head. That’s why Galactus has the big helmet with fins on it, so that he can beat the Celestials, who have smaller, less complicated heads. Needless to say, Eternity, the second-most-powerful being in the Marvel Universe, has a larger, more complex head than anyone else … except for the Living Tribunal, who beats all of them by having three different giant heads.
Unicron, of course, has a really, really large head. Even Galactus isn’t planet-sized. Furthermore, Unicron’s horn’s are bigger than Galactus’s fins. Q. E. D.
Breath-taking… Its as though they’re doing battle in my head right now.
To get ‘serious’ in this debate, a few points -
-
Unicron is alive. All Transformers are living robots.
-
Unicron did not always exist in his current form. His direct enemy was Primus, who managed to get Unicron out of whatever his original ‘body’ looked like and kick his ass on the astral plane. This was after Unicron ate most of their universe. Unicron ran back to the physical plane and got himself stuck in an asteroid. Dumbass Primus chased him and got stuck in another asteroid.
-
Seeing as how they were both enemies and needed to fight each other, they worked on getting out of their prisons. They each found they could manipulate the metal in the asteroids, and Primus became Cybertron. Unicron created a transforming humanoid body and started to eat more planets.
-
The Autobot Matrix is essentially Primus’s heart and essence. It created the first Transformers to fight Unicron, since Primus apparently blew his wad turning himself into an immobile, defenseless freaking planet. This is why the Matrix can hurt Unicron.
IMO, unless the Big G can use the Power Cosmic to create another Matrix, he’s going to get his ass kicked. Even the head of Unicron is stronger than the Silver Surfer, and Galactus purposely gave the Surfer enough power to destroy him when he was created.
