Not a headline, but something I saw in the NY Daily News crime blotter years ago (names and addresses changed).
“Also arrested were David Doe of 123-45 11th Street and Robert Roe of 112-23 Bayside Drive, both Queens.”
There was one in the Minneapolis Star-Tribune that made me laugh yesterday:
“Security fears
dog Olympics”
My first thought was…dog Olympics don’t sound scary at all to me. Maybe these security people should buck up or find a different job.
Endless fun on this scene, with incautious use of the verb “to dog”. A rather well-known one I think, but hard to resist in this connection:
