Unintentionally sad movie scenes

What’s your favorite unintentionally sad movie scene? Mine is in Spider-Man 3 when Spider-Man breaks Eddie Brock’s camera and everyone later calls him a liar.

There was a scene in a Dead End Kids movie (I think; unfortunately, I don’t remember which one) that must have been filmed right after Pearl Harbor. A mob has just trashed a Japanese-American’s fruit-and-vegetable stand, and Leo Gorcey (IIRC) says “Go ahead, boys, it’s open season on Japs!”

Yes, I know it reflects the ugly mood at the time, and many people then wouldn’t have been the least bit bothered by it, but I can’t help feeling sick when I watch it.
