And their hit piece on the young woman who died is vile. I will not post the link, but the title of the article is: “Heather Heyer: Woman Killed in Road Rage Incident was a Fat, Childless 32-Year-Old Slut”
Sounds like the same reasoning we keep hearing for why people voted for Trump.
The Party Of Personal Responsibility, everyone!
Also, fuck off. Dogs that bite get put down.
Just try to imagine the Conservative response to the following.
What if, while Obama was President , hordes of young Muslim and and other assorted dark skinned men held a big rally. They carried ISIS flags and the flags of Muslim terrorist groups. Some wore traditional Muslim garb, others were decked out in dorky jeans and tan suits. They also carried semi-automatic weapons and other items, such as clubs, that could be weaponized.
They chanted “Allahu Akbar” and “Jihad” and “All Hail King Obama”. Then one of them murdered someone - the victim was a right wing protester.
Can you even imagine how big the collective explosion of conservative heads would be?
And then imagine if Obama condemned it by saying … Oh well, violence is horrible no matter who does it". No biggie, stock markets up. Not terrorism.
Really?? Try to imagine because that’s sort of the equivalent to what happened this weekend
Aw, come on. Rightwingers have been freaking out about so-called “Islamic terrorism” for years. If you call everyone a terrorist there are bound to be people that eventually will go “Islamic terrorist eh? I’ll give you Islamic terrorist!”
Undoubtedly in your scenario there are real actual terrorists present but I highly doubt there would be an actual 1200 real Islamic terrorists.
We get the reference, lots of us over here watch that show. We each also have “our” doctor, depending on when we started watching. I started watching during the Tom Baker era.
While Bush was president there was an attack, iirc. Iirc, there was also language used with regards to not infringing the rights of other citizens. And that was many thousands dead due to a violent ideology.
That analogy doesn’t hold because Bush was talking about the rights of peaceful Muslims, who share nothing in common ideologically with terrorists. The ideology of Nazism has violence baked right into it. It can’t be separated from terrorism. Though if the constitution says we have to protect the free speech of these fucks, I will.
I disagree. Most religions have quite a bit of violence as part of their sacred texts. That doesn’t mean each religious person follows their religion strictly. I’m not really sure why religion gets the pass it does to be honest. I guess it’s due to a critical mass of adherents.
