Yeah, the fact that a Trump advisor wore a nazi medal to an inauguration ball means that we have to take nazis in America much more seriously.
Oh goodness. No one is saying don’t speak out against extreme ideology. People are saying don’t physically attack those who have a legal right to assemble. It’s a real simple concept.
I’m with Mike Rapaport, if those racist assholes were stupid enough to come to my town, at least a few wouldn’t be leaving and those that made it out would have tiki torches up their asses.
I understand that tensions are high right now. Please see my follow-up post (#79) where I sought to clarify what I meant. I’m not here to defend Nazis and I would mention that I voted for Hillary specifically because of the abhorrent ideas Donald Trump espoused during his campaign.
Last night they were assembled unlawfully. So now what.

It showed much, much more violence initiated by white supremacists than the reverse.

There was definitely violence. If you could actually see who was “initiating violence” you have greater powers of discernment than I do.
How about you say something about some of the unhinged left wing posters above you and stop fixating that I didn’t put enough qualifying adjectives in front of the therm radical progressive? Ignoring the call for murder of political opponents while nitpicking a phrase seems like misguided priorities.
How are “guns” relevant? No one got shot. Yes, the Nazis came prepared to fight. And many of the “antifa” assholes came with bats, chemicals to throw and prepared to fight. Maybe they “wanted violence” as well?
And where did you find that in my post anywhere? You obviously missed my first post in the other thread: Post #11
I totally defended their right to peaceably assemble, despicable as I find their ideology.
I couldn’t agree more. Don’t physically attack those who have a legal right to assemble. Like don’t throw full bottles at them. Don’t beat them with sticks. Don’t run them down with cars.
Clarification is good. But I will not back off one inch regarding my hatred of Nazis. I see them as the enemy. There is no middle ground, no consensus, no understanding. They are the enemy.
So what? Let the cops handle it. Your suggestion is to let a violent mob enforce the law against assembly?
Nice touch, that last one.
Several well known Republicans, some of whom I usually can’t stand, are calling them traitors and terrorists, and calling for an FBI+DoJ investigation. I agree with them. Lock the fuckers up.
Alright. We agree.
I just get tired of this ridiculous, low wisdom rhetoric that is going to lead to real problems in the future.
So do I. But I am not going to violently, physically assault them because of their political views and I think it is anti-democratic to advocate that. Apparently you (and others here) think it’s just fine.
Better late than never, I suppose. Funny thing, though. They all heard Trump’s calls to violence during his campaign, exhorting those in his crowds to beat people who disagreed with him, offering to pay for their defenses, the birtherism and all the rest. All I heard then was crickets among these oh-so-concerned Republicans.
They all knew exactly what they were getting, and they sure didn’t care.
It’s the Pit. I’m venting. Get over it.
I was directing that at those advocating a war.
Westboro Baptist Church makes this look like a daycare for wannabe’s.
I’ve spent my life thinking organised religion was the cancer upon society until today…
And in the thread over in MPSIMS, we have our favorite asshole Shodan defending these slime. Typical.
