I love that we live in a world where Americans will bend over backwards to explain that the people saying “Death to America” are just being beautifully poetic, but the senile old man saying “no quarter” clearly isn’t using a popular expression without thinking it through, he’s making concrete policy proposals about how to treat POWs 
That makes a ton of sense.
