But I think Trump’s “the war was very complete” was meant to lower world oil prices (at, at least for a bit, it did). Any relationship of the statement to the truth is coincidental.

If Iran does anything that stops the flow of Oil within the Strait of Hormuz, they will be hit by the United States of America TWENTY TIMES HARDER than they have been hit thus far. Additionally, we will take out easily destroyable targets that will make it virtually impossible for Iran to ever be built back, as a Nation, again — Death, Fire, and Fury will reign upon them — But I hope, and pray, that it does not happen! This is a gift from the United States of America to China, and all of those Nations that heavily use the Hormuz Strait.

AFAIK, the Strait of Hormuz tanker traffic was already mostly stopped before Trump posted this, and he knows it. Typical Trumpianism.

Not just children! With all the black rain falling across the country from the bombing of all the oil facilities, the old, the young, expectant mothers – everybody can get in on the sequelae!

What is the ‘acid rain’ in the wake of US bombings in Iran? An atmospheric...

And just think how this will affect agriculture in a country already facing severe water shortages, among other strains, like outmoded practices, sanctions blocking fertilizer imports, and so on.

Whoever pushed Trump into starting this conflict (or even if he did it on his own), I think the contradictory messaging is serving a purpose for MAGA.

As seems to be usual, his followers can pick on any one statement that aligns with their POV, and point to the contradicting ones and say “Oh, but that’s not what he actually meant, see here.”

For those of us looking from the outside, this seems completely irrational, but for True Believers, this is an easy way to dodge.

And I’m not saying he, or even his team/handlers, are doing it on purpose, but it is absolutely a learned habit that has consistently worked for Trump historically.

So I think that we can’t ever expect consistency on any messaging from the White House, especially on anything as fraught as this War, whatever he calls it. I think he’s leaving it up to everyone else to find a solution that he can claim credit for. And if no one caves (His beloved absolute surrender) it’s going to just keep getting worse.

US Major died in Kuwait in a non-combat related event.

A New York City police officer died in a “non-combat related incident” while deployed to Kuwait in support of the war on Iran, according to the Pentagon and city and state officials.

Maj. Sorffly Davius, 46, of Queens, a National Guard soldier, died Friday at Camp Buehring, Kuwait, the Defense Department said in a statement.

Davius was assigned to the Headquarters Battalion, 42nd Infantry Division out of Troy, N.Y., at the time of his death, which is under investigation.

Davius, who began his service with the New York Police Department (NYPD) in 2014 when he was assigned to the 79th Precinct, died as a result of a “medical episode,” the NYPD said in a statement on social media.

Reporter asks Trump why he’s the only one saying Iran bombed the school.

President Donald Trump was asked by a reporter on Monday why he is the only person who insists that an Iranian missile hit an elementary school in the southern part of the country.

The U.S. and Israel began bombing Iran last weekend in a campaign that Trump said could last at least a month. Among the first structures hit was a girls’ elementary school in Minab. On Thursday, Reuters reported that U.S. investigators believe it was likely that a U.S.-fired missile hit the school. At least 175 people were killed, most of them young girls. A New York Times report, meanwhile, concluded that a Tomahawk missile hit the school and that the projectile was likely launched by the U.S.

Neither Iran nor Israel is believed to possess Tomahawk missiles.

During a press conference on Monday, CNN’s Manu Raju asked the president if the U.S. would “accept any responsibility.”

“Well, I haven’t seen it,” Trump replied. “And I will say that the Tomahawk, which is one of the most powerful weapons around, is used by, you know, is sold and used by other countries. You know that. And whether it’s Iran who also has some Tomahawks. They wish they had more, but whether it’s Iran or somebody else, the fact that a Tomahawk, a Tomahawk is very generic. It’s sold to other countries but that’s being investigated right now.”

Over on the Iranian side, IRGC commander promises to only use missiles with >1 ton warheads.

Iran will only launch missiles with warheads weighing over one ton, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force commander Majid Mousavi said on Monday, according to Iranian opposition outlet Iran International.

To put this in perspective: At the outset of the current conflict with Iran, a missile weighing hundreds of kilograms but less than one ton completely destroyed a building in Tel Aviv.

Mousavi added that the “wavelength” and intensity of missile launches will increase, with attacks broadening in scope, according to Iran International.

Iran, though weakened by US and Israeli strikes, still has a powerful arsenal at its disposal, according to a Wall Street Journal report citing Martin Sampson, former UK defense adviser and leading Middle East military analyst.

These weapons include cruise missiles, cyber warfare, and mines, according to the WSJ, which quoted Sampson as saying that Iran “potentially has the ability to escalate much more broadly" with its current reserve.
