Surrender or die.
Absolutely.
Though you must admit that the very notion of Donald caring about the welfare of protesters is very darkly comic.
And there’s no one to stop him (unless, what, twenty million Americans marched on Washington? Might need more than that what with losses due to being mown-down…)
But point is: in this current world order, the bad guys really do have all the power.
It comes across more like “Surrender AND die”.
Presumably it means that if the IRGC personnel surrender now then he will grant them immunity but if they fight on they will die.
I’d never describe a Trump tweet as “not unhinged”. Offering immunity to IRGC personnel who surrender right away makes some sense if the goal is to create enough momentum for the regime to collapse and Iranians to rise up and replace it, but diplomacy by Twitter is completely unhinged.
It all depends on the support among the people.
The
will hit the fan if several million Islamics take to the steets protesting the death of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
I hope he doesn’t have that level of support compared to Ayatollah Khomeini. He was a huge figure in the Islamic Revolution.
It interesting that you were skeptical of a single-source report of the bombing of an Iranian girls school, yet a single-source claim of Khamenei’s death is accepted with much less rigor.
Even though the Iranian public are deeply unhappy with their regime history shows getting attacked will almost certainly draw them all together in a common cause of opposing the invaders rather than seeing it as an opportunity to get rid of the current regime.
Maybe this time will be different but I would not bet on it.
I mean, that’s just how human beings tend to act. Everyone just dehumanizes the other side and convinces themselves that they can bomb “those people” and be thanked for it. Even though they themselves would never do so.
Some experts gaming it out:
I saw it. He was actually coherent and didn’t appear to go off-script, which makes me think it was AI-generated.
I mean, one “single source” was multiple news agencies in Israel confirming that there were photos of his body, and the other “single source” is indeed a single source, the Islamic Republic News Agency.
Strong statement from Carney during his visit to India:

Multiple news agencies quoting the Israeli government is a single source.
I’m not sure what point in time you are referring to, but Israeli news agencies have confirmed the photo exists, even if it hasn’t been published publically.
That said, if you’re trying to “own” me by pointing out that I find the Israeli government to be a more reliable source than Iranian regime, then… Yeah, obviously?
Meanwhile, in this photo from the “situation room” at Mar-a-Lago he looks more like a wax sculpture of himself.
Unless of course one is in the Epstein files. Then you’re completely safe. Protected, even.
I have had the news on all day but on mute. I wouldn’t be surprised if this episode of “Wag the Dog” went for less than ten minutes before some talking head observed that this is obviously meant to be a distraction from “domestic issues”. Internet talking heads feel no such obligation to sugar coat it and they will call it like they see it.
In any case, in about two weeks when the amusement value of military adventurism wears off, the files will be there, waiting for him.
The naysayers are going to look pretty foolish when the Iranian people greet us as liberators.

I’m just a skeptic at heart though. I mean there’s just things about that particular part that just doesn’t make sense to me. For one, the toll keeps rising. Initially it was 30 or 40 killed kind of but then later when I looked on CNN it said more like 65 were killed… Then later it was updated to being over 80.
Right now it’s risen again, it’s 108.
Really? 108 girls were in school on Saturday? Does Iran have school on Saturday? Or maybe it was a school where they live also? Maybe it was that, I don’t know, but it just feels like something is off about the story.
I have no doubt that when I check in on this story tomorrow the death toll will probably have risen to 500 or something.
Trust me, I want nothing more than hate Donald Trump even more… I already think he’s in the wrong about this and that he overstepped his bounds and it’s just another thing he’s done of many where he’s being a threat to humanity and democracy with his dictatorship, fascism, racist, pedophilic, Nazi like behavior…
But I simply can’t pile on him over this… I just feel like it’s a story that could be made up by Iran in order to instigate more sympathy for them or to instigate more outrage against the US. I mean, that is not outside possibility.
And again, I have only seen Iran News reporting this. It has not been verified by any other news station other than news sources in Iran. I’m sorry if I don’t put Faith in news sources coming solely out of Iran. You may put more faith in them than I do, but I find I cannot.
I recognize that there is a photo as proof, yes that does look like citizens were bombed, that’s very unfortunate, downright horrible and tragic, I had no doubt that citizens were bombed though because Donald Trump seems like the asshat monster who would do that… But I still have seen no evidence that it was specifically a girl’s school.
I think I’ve already referred to it as “squirrel” or something to distract from his pending issues.
And Wag the Dog is the wrong show, I think. Homeland seems to have given us this ratio.

Iran’s weekend is as follows, per Wikipedia.
Back to the thread topic. How long do you suppose it will take before Trump realizes that if it’s okay for him to assassinate another country’s top leader, then it must also be okay for another country to assassinate him?
Don’t forget not too long ago he kidnapped another foreign leader.
Gloves are off. What few rules and norms there were are gone now.
