Hi,
In about the late 80’s or early 90’s I remember watching the ending of a sci-fi program on TV. It might have been a mini-series. It seemed to from the UK. In the last scene there was a head or brain that was being kept alive in a container. (Maybe it was a weathered metallic pot that had a screen on it) I think there was a man that wanted to help the brain (which was the main character I think) to die. The brain was in a fairly small room with a fairly robust door. A couple guards rushed to the room to shoot the first guy with 50’s/60’s style laser guns and that first guy died. But he managed to kill the brain somehow. Then I think you see a heavenly throne with a man seated on it with angels on either side and you hear a slow loudly whispered “yessss”. (that would be from the brain that just died and is seeing the sight)
My memory mightn’t be perfect, but you get the idea.
Thanks.
Maybe Dennis Potter’s “Cold Lazarus”?
Are you sure those guards were using 50/60s style laser guns …or something else a little bit older?
It wasn’t a Dr Who episode was it?

Another vote here for Cold Lazarus. Don’t see how it can be anything else.
That sounds like it, thanks!
