Update: The last temptation of Chris..

Last year, I made this thread.

In the OP, I expressed hope that if ever put in a situation like that, I’d hope I’d return the money.
Well…last night, it happened.

I was buying cheap Valentine’s Day candy, since, being after Valentine’s Day, it was 50 percent off. Getting two hearts full of candy, the total came to 4 dollars exact. I handed the cashier a 50 and held my hand out for change. The clerk counted the change back into my hand and then turned to the next customer, leaving me to go out the door. However, I stood there until he finally noticed me again and asked if there was a problem.

There was, seeming as he had counted out 96 dollars change instead of 46 dollars change, apparently thinking I gave him a 100 instead of a 50.

So yeah…I can now say what I would do if that situation ever occurred.

And I feel pretty damn good too.
Since that long ago thread, has anyone else here experienced a time when you made a right choice in a situation, although some sort of temptation was great?

I can’t think of any stories like that about my own life at the moment, but I’m glad to hear you did the right thing!
