Urban Legend Comes True

Ok, I was just surfing around snopes reading it and enjoying myself when I came to this page. homework Something almost the same occured in my classes this April. The teacher was returning an essay to the class and he’s calling out names. And at one point he notices that he called the same name twice. He calls the student up, notices that the student had turned in the same paper twice! Why I don’t know, he was a foreign exchange student from Asia and didn’t speak English that great so he just mumbled something and sat down. But he got two different grades, a ‘B’ and an ‘A-’ or something like that, I don’t exactly remember what they were. Anyway the teacher gives him the higher grade. A little unfair to the rest of us but shrugs

Have you ever seen any ULs come true, or better yet been in one?

I wasn’t going to say anything, but …
Last year I gassed a weary traveler in his hotel room, and then removed his kidney. It’s ok, though, I left a note on the table that he should call 911 or he would die. I did get a good price for the kidney on the black market, though.

I worked with a guy who made a change in our (home-grown) customer billing software. It caused customers with bad payment histories to get warning letters about having their service disconnected if they didn’t pay up–including customers that had a zero balance. It made the newspaper (although his name did not appear in it), and (since the newspaper hates us, anyway) they had quite a time with the article about customers who didn’t owe any money getting letters threatening disconnection–a copy of which he kept in his office and quite proudly showed anyone who wanted to know about it.

This was [n]not** the source of the UL, though. I had heard the UL several years before this actually happened IRL.

And while you were doing this, I snuck in and stole all his stuff except his toothbrush and camera, and before I left I shoved the toothbrush up my butt and took a picture of it with his camera.

And I used a lipstick to write “NOW YOU HAVE AIDS!” on his mirror.

Bet he was REAL confused when he woke up!

SPOOFE?

Especially since he left his baby with a sitter that died on the way their, and his dog was in the microwave drying off…

My checking account with Wells Fargo got cancelled due to being overdrawn too many times. They had warned me that they would cancel it the next time I overdrew it. My balance got down to $0, so they cancelled it. I pointed out that (a) this wasn’t overdrawn, just drawn, and (b) they had accepted a paycheck deposit AFTER they closed the account, so could I have my (now positive) balance back, please?
