URL Almost

I sometimes make typing errors when trying to type a URL I just did it trying to get to cruise.com. I inadvertently typed crruise.com and instead of getting a ‘404 File Not Found’ error I got a website that was clearly created for people who make this same mistake. Is there a name for this? Creating URLs that are close to actual URLs in hopes of catching someone like me? There must be a fancy technical name for this…

Wikipedia calls this “typosquatting.”

There were a few years when microsfot.com pointed to linux.com. Oh those wacky days.
